Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between bonded and non-bonded memberships?
We offer bonded and non-bonded memberships. Here are the differences between bonded and non-bonded:
As a bonded member, you get:
Bonded members pay a one-time nonrefundable initiation/bond fee (we are currently waiving the initiation fee so it's just the $600 bond fee plus the annual membership). Bonded members must pay dues annually - if bonded members fail to pay their dues the Board has the right to terminate their bonded membership.
Non-bonded members have no requirement for dues payments from year to year - join each Summer as you wish. Non-bonded members have full rights to all activities at our pool each Summer - movie nights, socials, join the swim team etc.
Can I bring guests with me to the pool?
Yes! You can bring guests, but each guest must be checked in at the desk with a guest pass. Please visit our Guest Passes page for more information.
Can my child swim in the deep end or use the diving board and slide?
Please keep the following pool rules in mind.
When does the pool close?
See the pool hours page for daily closing times. Please note that all members and guests must be out of the water 10 minutes before pool closing.
Can I drop my child off at the pool?
Children under the age of 12 may not be left at the pool unattended and are not permitted within the pool enclosure or in the pool unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, or authorized caregiver aged 16 or older at all times.
Does the pool offer swimming lessons?
The pool does not offer private lessons through the club. There are several staff and swim team members who will provide private swim lessons, but it is up to the member to organize this with them personally. You can ask the manager which guards provide lessons or inquire with the swim team via email.
Can I use the pool during the off-season?
No, there is no off-season swimming available with your MSCSC membership. A private swim club rents out the pool in the off-season for their swimmers.
If the deck is noted as "closed" on the calendar, is the pool still open for members?
Yes! In general, if the deck is noted as being closed, the pool is still open for pool members to use. In such cases, only the upper deck is closed to host a private party. Please see the hours page for any pre-scheduled pool closures.

Can my child swim in the deep end or use the diving board and slide?
Please keep the following pool rules in mind.
- Swim tests: Children 10 years old and under, or at the guards' request, may use the deep end and diving well only after they pass a basic swim test. The swim test includes starting at one end of the pool, swimming halfway across the width of the pool, pausing to tread water for 30 seconds, and then completing the lap to the other wall without assistance. Those who do not pass will be restricted to the training/shallow end of the pool. You can ask any of the guards sitting at the check-in desk to administer the swim test for your child at any time.
- No floaties in the well: Children who are in flotation devices (arm bands, floaties, vests, etc.) are not allowed in the well or use the diving board/slide at any time and must be within arms reach of an adult if they are in a section of the pool that the child cannot stand on the bottom.
