Can my child swim in the deep end or use the diving board and slide?
Please keep the following pool rules in mind.
- Swim tests: Children 10 years old and under, or at the guards' request, may use the deep end and diving well only after they pass a basic swim test and receive a wristband. The swim test includes starting at one end of the pool, swimming halfway across the width of the pool (25 yards), pausing to tread water for 30 seconds, and then completing the lap to the other wall without assistance. Those who do not pass will be restricted to the training/shallow end of the pool. You can ask any of the guards sitting at the check-in desk to administer the swim test for your child at any time. Guards will record the names of individuals who pass the swim test.
- No floaties in the well: Children who are in flotation devices (arm bands, floaties, vests, etc.) are not allowed in the well or use the diving board/slide at any time and must be within arms reach of an adult if they are in a section of the pool that the child cannot stand on the bottom.
