Dear Swim Team Families –
 
We are starting to make plans for the 2012 Seahawks Swim Team. As usual our goal is to make Swim Team an enjoyable experience for the whole family. We aim to create a fun environment while developing stroke skills, endurance, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

Head Coach Rod is returning again this year and Anamika Krishna-Rogers is Head Swim Team Rep – both have heaps of enthusiasm and experience. However in order to run a successful swim team we need additional volunteers to help organize team activities, manage meets and be certified officials.

Many of you may be willing to help but may not know how or what needs to be done. Specifically we need:
  • 2 more Swim Team Reps (4 in total). Duties include overall organization of the Swim Team and volunteers. Coordinating swim meets by ensuring volunteers, officials, supplies, equipment and rosters are in place. The 4 Reps act as a team and share all duties.
  • Stroke and Turn Judges, Starters and Referees. We need people to attend a short class to become certified and be available to support meets.
We rely on volunteers. Without a core of volunteers Swim Team cannot function. Montgomery County Swim League requires us to identify all our Reps soon and provide a minimum number of Officials for every meet. If we all make an effort we can make this year as successful as last.

 If you are a parent of two of more swimmers please seriously consider stepping forward and offering to help.

This year Swim Team runs from June 16 to Jul 21, but in in order to finalize our plans we need to know if you can help by Jan 31. Please show your SEAHAWKS SPIRIT by replying to this mscseahawks@gmail.com
