Memorial Day Potluck - Date TBD

Our first big event of the summer! We will grill tasty burgers and hotdogs. This is a potluck, so be sure to bring a side, salad or dessert to share with friends. Reservations requested, sign up at the pool. This event is on a sign up basis and there is a nomimal charge.

School Is Out Party! - Date TBD

School is finally out for the summer! Come and party with us--there will be food, loud music, dancing, and games for all ages.
(Pizza and/or subs will be served for a nominal charge)

Back by popular demand, join us for an awesome raft night. Bring your raft for some rafting fun in the pool!

July 4th BBQ Pot-Luck - Saturday, July 4, 2010

Join us for that most American of festivals--the July 4th Barbeque! It's a pot luck, so be sure to bring a salad, side or dessert with you. Hamburgers and hotdogs for a nominal charge. Reservations requested.

Volunteers are needed to help coordinate the food, drinks, set-up and clean-up.

Please note: Food is served beginning at 3:00 p.m. and will go until it runs out. The Pool will close one hour early at 8:00 p.m. to allow families and staff time to get to the fireworks.

Pasta Potluck and Talent Show - Date TBD

It's a pot luck, bring your Pasta specialty to share. Don't be shy, dazzle us with your talent at our first/annual Talent Show event. Nominal help needed to help coordinate dishes, drinks and set-up.

Wine & Cheese / Pizza Party - July 17, 2010
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

First, this Saturday evening, July 12 at 6 pm, we will have a wine and cheese party (hosted by Cecilia del Rio) for adults (upstairs), and a pizza party for kids (downstairs), so we can get to know each other better, especially all of the new members who joined the pool in the last two years. Our fantastic guards have agreed to watch the little ones in the baby pool area and run some of their fun games like those on July 4th.

So the idea is that while your kids are having kid fun downstairs, the adults are upstairs, having adult conversation, wine, cheese, and fun. If you have a favorite appetizer you like to make (or buy) to share with the adults, please do so and fill out the sign up sheet at the pool. (It doesn’t have to be kid friendly!) We will provide the wine and cheese, so bringing an appetizer is optional. We have done this type of "pot luck" party for years and everyone goes home with a full tummy.

Please RSVP to Leslie Klein at kleinfamily5@comcast.net if you want to attend so we make sure we have enough for all (or use the sign-up sheet at the pool). If you feel your kids are overdosing on pizza, feel free to bring dinner for your family. Our outdoor grill will be available also.

The first annual Bingo Night will be held in our newly renovated upstairs social hall. This will be a great event for families and kids alike.

Labor Day BBQ - Sept. 5th 2010

The end of a great season of summer fun! Come out and enjoy your last chance for a cool dip, a cold drink poolside, and sizzling barbeque. Please bring a side, salad or dessert. Grilled food available for a nominal charge and reservations are requested.

Annual Bake-off Cake / Pizza Party - Date TBD
6:30 p.m.

Don't miss our annual Bake-Off/Pizza Party, which is open to all MSC pool members. To join in the fun, make or bring a dessert to the party room at 6:30 pm on the evening of July 15. The lifeguards do the judging, and every entry gets a prize. Your entry can be anything you want: home made, store bought, Grandma's specialty, replicas of the pool complete with members and lifeguards. Anything goes, it just has to be edible.

We thought we’d add a little more fun to this already crazy event by having a silent auction prior to the judging, so you can bid on your favorite entry. The auction will be open for 30 min from 6:30 pm - 7 pm, as the entries arrive. The money raised will go towards our favorite pool and swim team, the MSCSC Seahawks! It will be the decision of the new owner of the dessert whether to take it home intact, or allow the hungry mob of Seahawks to feast.

The pizza will be served around 7 pm. We need a rough head count for pizza ordering purposes. Please RSVP to Leslie Klein at kleinfamily5@comcast.net if you want to join in the Pizza party. The cost of the pizza party is included in swim team dues. If you are not a swim team family, we are asking for a donation of $5/adult, $3/child to cover the costs of pizza and drinks.
